The ceiling stain you can see is almost never directly under where the water got in — water travels laterally along decking, around framing, and down whatever path gravity finds before it drops through the drywall. A real leak scope traces that path back to the actual entry point (a failed pipe boot, a cracked flashing seam, a lifted shingle head-lap), fixes the source component, and follows up by sealing around it preventively so it doesn't re-open next storm. Patching over the visible stain is not the fix — it's the failure mode that puts a roof on the wrong side of HONEST_SCOPE once the decking starts taking on water.

Most roofs are good candidates for rejuvenation — they just need cleaning, minor repairs, and a new sealant. But a few conditions are out of scope, and if we see any of them at inspection we’ll recommend the right fix instead.

- Badly curled or split shingles across a wide area — far past the cosmetic edge-lift the treatment can still save
- Structural or deck damage (sagging, soft spots, compromised framing)
- Major missing shingles from wind, storm, or long-deferred repair
